A client of criminal lawyer Luc Simard was charged with sexual assault (Section 271 (1) a) Criminal Code of Canada), of sexual interference with a child (Section 151 Criminal Code) and invitation to sexual touching (Section 152 Criminal Code). During the trial, the Prosecutor had his witnesses testify.
Mr. Simard then cross-examined these witnesses in order to point out certain contradictions between their testimonies during the trial and the statements they made previously. Finally, the accused and two other witnesses testified for the defence. Mr. Simard tabled certain documents supporting his client’s statements.
After analyzing all the evidence, the Judge acquitted Mr. Simard’s client on all his charges.
Not all Mr. Simard’s clients are acquitted. See notice.
