Criminal defense lawyer Luc Simard defended a client charged with having stolen a sum of money over $ 1,000 (Section 334 Canadian Criminal Code). The charges had been laid against him several years beforehand. Mr. Simard began discussions with the Prosecutor. The client reimbursed the victim for the sum of money, and the charges were dropped by the Prosecutor. Therefore, the client was acquitted of the charges.
Not all Mr. Simard’s clients are acquitted. See notice.
