A client of criminal lawyer Xavier Cormier was charged with simple possession of a small quantity of cannabis (Section 4 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act). Mr. Cormier contacted the Prosecutor to discuss finding a solution. Mr. Cormier’s client made a donation to a charity organization, and the Prosecutor dropped the charges. Therefore, the client was acquitted.
