A client was already defended by our criminal lawyer in a case of conjugal violence and assault (Section 266 Criminal Code). He requested from our lawyer that his parole conditions be modified so that he could return to Montreal Island, which was initially forbidden for him.
Afterwards, he was arrested once again and charged with break and entry (Section 348 1)b)d) Criminal Code) and failure to comply with the conditions of an undertaking (Section 145 3)b) Criminal Code) in a context of conjugal violence.
The representative of our firm went to court to request the client’s release from prison. The Prosecutor was opposed to the client’s being released. After hearing the evidence and the pleas, the Judge agreed with the arguments of the defence and freed the client.
Not all the clients of Mr Xavier Cormier are released from prison. See notice.
